Black Adam's actor, Dwayne Johnson, confirmed that Black Adam is not Doctor Fate's last appearance in DCU. He said this on his personal Twitter account when responding to a post that reviewed the Black Adam film. In his tweet, the actor promised fans that they would see more action from Doctor Fate.

For those of you who haven't watched the Black Adam movie and are still trying to avoid spoilers, it is recommended not to continue reading this article.

At the end of Black Adam, Doctor Fate, played by Pierce Brosnan, looks dying and disappears because he sacrificed himself when dealing with Sabbac. Kent Nelson aka Doctor Fate sacrificed himself in order to delay time, waiting for Black Adam's presence to face Sabbac. Kent Nelson vanished, as did the Helmet of Fate before it was used by Hawkman to assist in dealing with Sabbac.

It's not yet clear whether Kent Nelson will return or another Doctor Fate alter-ego who will replace Kent Nelson. Because it is currently known that Pierce Brosnan has not officially been tied in another DCU movie or series. But previously Pierce Brosnan had also said that he would be willing to reprise his role as Kent Nelson aka Doctor Fate.

"It was a very beautifully designed costume and helmet, which I really liked. [Director] Jaume Collet-Serra is very inclusive in collaboration. He was amazing in the sense that he sent me a helmet design, so I could participate in the look." said Pierce Brosnan in a statement.

Pierce Brosnan also appreciatedthe origin storyin exploring the role of Doctor Fate. He previously described Kent Nelson's use of the Helmet of Fate as a "blessing and a curse," because the supernatural powers the helmet provides drain "a lot of energy" from the wearer. Pierce Brosnan even likened his character's dependence on the Helmet of Fateto drug addiction.
